Mending old fences will be a priority for Titi this winter.

Former Arsenal star, Thierry Henry is planning to make a proper farewell to the Gunners and to his former teammates and Manager, when the winter break comes up in December this year. The French goal king left North London amidst heated controversy, and at a time when the club management was uncertain about the future of it's Manager, Arsene Wenger, as well as at logger-heads among board members which led to the sack of David Dein. Now all the storms and clouds seem to have died down with Dein assuming a new role as the chairman of an investment company that has substantial shares in Arsenal, as much as 24% of the North London Club, and Arsene Wenger signing a new contract to remain as head coach. Thierry Henry speaks of his return:

I will try and return to London in December because we have a winter break in Spain and I will have the time. I would rather go back in a non-playing situation and be able to enjoy it. I don't want to get drawn against Arsenal in the Champions League this season. That would not be a proper way to say goodbye to the fans. When I go, I will probably just sit in the stands. I won't walk out on the pitch or anything like that. The focus should be on the team and I don't want to draw any attention away from them and what they're doing. They will be playing a game and I want to respect that.

Henry also maintained that nothing had gone wrong between he and Arsene Wenger, insisting that the two of them were still best of friends:

Me and Arsene have been in contact a few times since I left. I always talk to him because even with the difference of age, the bond and respect is there. It is tremendous that he has signed a new contract. He has great eyes and just has a talent for spotting young talent. He is a great human being as well and that's what makes the difference. He makes players feel comfortable and always gets the best out of them. I know the young players there very well and they can definitely win the Premier League and Champions League this season. I watched how they beat Sevilla in the Champions League and I think they sent out a big message to the rest of Europe. Sevilla is not an easy team to play, but Arsenal played a great game.

I know Barca are playing some amazing stuff atthe mo so nobody would be upset about being involved in that - but thierry clearly regrets leaving the arse.

He doesnt stop talking about us.. he knows that if he had stayed he would have been part of what arsenal are doing this season. we have been outstanding and if he had stayed we could possibly have been unstoppable this year. Its not a dig at barcelona but he was here 8 yrs and he left because he lost his temper and didnt feel he had long enough to wait for our young team to come good. If he had stayed he would have been the leader of the young team and i think he regrets that.

on the other hand our squad may not have made the step-up if he had stayed so who knows.

All i care about is right now arsenal look amazing and id love to see thierry back to say goodbye.

This site is still a pile of shit though u stupid cunt.

Yes he clearly misses us....would be nice to see him again.

I just want to add that I am very pissed off to the back teeth with the Spanish media in regards to Cesc, they are at it again. Why cant you leave the kid alone he has publicly stated he is not going back to Barcelona. Give it a rest and let the bloke get on with his football.
He loves The Arsenal as does Thierry!!!!

Great people are always upto great performances. Thiery Henry is demonostrating that he is a man of substance. He will remain Arsenal's revered son forever .
