Barcelona midfielder Gabri will stay at the Camp Nou until the end of the season after rejecting a move to the Premiership with West Ham. He admitted that his heart is still with Barça and that it is too difficult for him to leave FC Barcelona now:
"I changed my mind when I saw that all the people who love me were agreeing that I should stay. Sometimes we, the football players take some decisions in an impulsive way, without thinking too much".
Gabri, 27 next month, commented further: "After much consideration, my final decision is to remain at Barça. There have been some lucrative offers, but in the end, having spoken to my family, I have decided to stay. My mind is now only at Barcelona."
Gabri, who can operate in midfield or at right full-back, held talks with West Ham this week but has opted against a move to the Premiership today and will now remain at the Camp Nou until his current deal expires in the summer.
