Barça has to decide over the weekend if it wishs to accept a 5-year, €100 Million shirt deal offered by Betandwin - a major internet gambling operation


Rumours about the marketing co-operation between Betandwin and the club to sponsor the FC Barcelona's jerseys have been around for some time but the sensational offer is now officially on the table:


€100 Mill. for 5 years – take it or leave it!


Betandwin set a deadline for the deal and the Board of Directors has to take the club's most important decision over the weekend. The betting company does not want to wait any longer and an already negotiated offer to AC Milan could be on the agenda. The AC Milan offer is estimated at € 16 Mio. Which is € 4 Mio. per year lower than the Barça deal. The delay in accepting the deal is caused by two board members that are reluctant to accept the offer believing the agreement could damage the Club’s reputation.






Betandwin is already an official partner of FC Barcelona, sponsoring the Catalan Club to the tune of €1.5 Mill. a year for fixed advertising in the stadium, a presence on the official Barça website and the sponsored microphone in the press room of the Nou Camp.


FC Barcelona (nearly 130,000 members) is the biggest football club in the world and has long been proud that it has never allowed companies to sponsor the Club's shirt. Many lucrative offers had arrived on the board room table but until now the board of directors and members of the football club have opposed any deal. This time it seems that the pain-treshhold has been reached. If Barcelona accepts the deal, it will make Barça to one of richest clubs in the world.


This shirt sponsorship is the biggest deal ever. It exceeds any amount that has been agreed with other big football Clubs so far:


€20 mill. - FC Barcelona (Betandwin)

€16 mill. - Real Madrid (Siemens)
€14 mill. - Manchester United (Vodafone)

€13 mill. - Chelsea (Samsung)
