this is a hold-up
Football Club Barcelona´s efforts to provide video evidence to overturn Ronaldinho´s red card in the match last Wednesday have not been succesful. The Comité de Competición de la Real Federación Española de Fútbol has confirmed the ban of 1 match for the Brazilian star. He will not be able for selection in the match against Valencia next week.

Ronaldinho already banned (5th yellow card) for the encounter on Sunday against Atletico Madrid will be suspended for a further match in La Liga (red card supension).

It seems that the Comité de Competición wants to make the Spanish championship a bit more exciting by confirming the unfair red card for Ronaldinho and suspending the Barça star for the crucial match at Mestalla. We all remember the horrible foul of Luis Figo last year. A wonder that he did not break Puyol´s leg. Shocking for all Barça fans, the red card was surprisingly overturned by the Spanish Football Federacion. Clearly there is a difference in handling revisions and suspensions.

It depends who hands them in, FC Barcelona or Real Madrid!
