Barça player Ronaldinho might play in the FC Barcelona vs. Valencia match in Mestalla on Sunday at 9pm.

Even though the 'Appeals Committee (Comite de Apelacion)' rejected Barcelona's request to have Ronaldinho's one-match suspension revoked, there could still be a chance that the Barça No.10 will walk onto the pitch on Sunday. Barça now has the option of presenting an appeal to the Spanish Sports Discipline Committee.

FC Barcelona has decided that their legal experts will present an appeal to the Comité Español de Disciplina Deportiva (CEDD) opposing the Appeals Committee's ruling, it was announced today. Barcelona has also appealed for the ban to be postponed until the CEDD issues a response. It is possible that the club's demand for the suspension to be postponed until an official verdict is announced by the CEDD will be granted. FC Barcelona have requested that committee overrules the Appeals Committee's decision and withdraws the one-match suspension issued to Ronaldinho as a result of the red card shown to the player by referee Julián Rodríguez Santiago in the cup quarter final against Real Zaragoza.
A CEDD meeting has been scheduled for today, Friday at 4pm at which they will discuss the Ronaldinho issue. Depending on the outcome of that meeting, FC Barcelona will find out if the Brazilian football star will be able to play at Mestalla. A result of the meeting and an official statement is expected by 6pm today.

My comment: If there is no political intervention from Madrid I have the feeling that Ronaldinho will play on Saturday. This is another excellent news this week after Real Madrid lost the semi final in the Copa del Rey against Real Zaragoza with a humiliating 1-6 !!! Visca el Barça!
