FC Barcelona coach Frank Rijkaard insists revenge was not on his mind after seeing Barça knock Chelsea out of the UEFA Champions League.

The Spanish giants ousted Chelsea 3-2 on aggregate after a 1-1 draw at Camp Nou yesterday night.
The victory was sweet for Barça after last season's controversial defeat to Chelsea at the same stage of the Champions League. Frank Rijkaard

Rijkaard is adamant revenge was not a motivation for the victory and the Barça coach was happy with his side's performance.

I'm not a guy who believes in revenge, said Rijkaard.
It was very important to go through in a wonderful tournament.
For me it doesn't matter who we beat, Barça has to go on. Revenge doesn't come into it.

About Chelsea Rijkaard said:

I have nothing specifically against Chelsea or Jose Mourinho.
I have great respect for what he is doing and I think he does a great job.
I think the team worked very well and worked very seriously. We gave our rivals very few chances.

Frank Rijkaard also talked about Ronaldinho's goal:

The Ronaldinho goal was spectacular, not just because of the way he created it but also for the speed Ronnie showed.
Chelsea defended very well and were very tough, but Ronaldinho manufactured the chance and did something very special, this is why Ronnie's a special player.

I'm very happy we've gone through against a great side. But we have to keep on working.
It was very hard to eliminate Chelsea but we have to prepare ourselves for the next game because the level in the Champions League is so high, added Rijkaard.

Rijkaard has warned Chelsea off making a move for Ronaldinho.
The Brazilian ace inspired Barcelona to see off Chelsea and Rijkaard is confident that even the lure of Roman Abramovich's millions could not lure him away from Camp Nou.

Ronaldinho is very happy at Barcelona. Ronnie has so many friends and people who love him and so I don't think money is the most important thing for him right now, not at all.

Ronaldinho is happy and he wants to contribute to the things Barcelona can achieve.

I was not surprised Ronaldinho was the difference. It was a special occasion with so much tension in the game and Ronnie's reaction was wonderful.

Rijkaard press conference

Rijkaard is also sweating over the fitness of Lionel Messi after the Argentine ace was forced to limp off against Chelsea through injury.

I am concerned about him. It is always a shame when players are injured, added Rijkaard.

We will have to wait for the medical tests to determine the extent of his injuries. Hopefully Messi will be back with us very soon.
