If FC Barcelona doesn't sign Thierry Henry and they sign Diego Forlán. I will be very angry with the Club. Another thing is that Henry decides to stay in Arsenal, but If I have to choice, there's no question about it! Thierry Henry!! Inshallah!

The press speculates that Henry hasn't made up his mind yet. But he has come out to the media and his actually said he will not be leaving. Besides, have you watched any Arsenal games recently? He sure is playing like someone committed to the club! Not like some fat Ronaldo who can't care less about his team. That, my friend is FACT.

If Henry decides to leave Arsenal I hope it will not be for Barcellona but to Real Madrid so that load mouth La Porta will have to lick his wounds once more ! !

Don't worry "gooner", as soon as we have the PROOF, we will publish it! Or maybe Thierry will do it by himself! And if Thierry doesn't move from London we'll pusblish it as well. We inform, we are not talking "rubbish". Just FYI "gooner", what it is a FACT is because you have a PROOVE. You cannot have a FACT without a PROOVE... just to let you know "gooner".
PS: Nobody has to shut up, everyone has the right to leave their comment. This is also a fact!

What a load of tosh - There is no agreement in place, Henry will sign a new 4 year contract at THOF - with a clause inserted to leave after next season if Arsenal do not reach his expectation.

You'll only get Thierry Henry if Arsenal get Ronaldinhio!
Other then that, he will stay at Arsenal and play in the new stadium.

I understand why Barca fans want to believe that Thierry has agreed to give their team first shout, but why would he? apart from the fact that you have a better climate you have an ordinary team.
Arsenal has the best ground in the world to go to and the best young players (thanks to you giving us Cesc) to be honest I think Ronaldinho would do better coming to Arsenal. In fact I have heard that he has signed a pre- contract agreement with Arsenal, honestly, it's a fact.

Of course Barca want Henry, he is the best player in the world! So do Real Madrid, Inter, Chelzzzz and all the other soulless cash-rich havens for heartless mercenaries. Henry is about more than money and he recognises that achieving greatness by winning the Ch Lg with Arsenal, is worth ten times the success achieved on the back of Ronaldinho et al.
He already said that himself. All I can say is that in Cesc Fabregas and Jose Antonio Reyes, we already have the best Catalan and Spanish youngsters around - the trend is for your best players (like Alonso too) to come here, while you get has beens like Beckham. So good day sirs!

What an absolute load of crap. I cannot believe I have just wasted 5 minutes reading this load of shit. There is not one fact in this heap of cow manure that is supposed to be informative article.
Henry will be at Arsenal next season to lead out his team at a new stadium. Barcelona is going to same way as Real Madrid, you just keep trying to sign big name players every summer and sooner or later you are going to suffer with a whole lot of big ego players only there for the money. Henry is not that type of person and so he will remain a gooner. I hope we get you in the Champions League now just to show you cocks we are better team!!!!

Right guys,
If you have supposed 'inside knowledge' then why did you fail to announce that Real Madrid had a £16m transfer fee accepted in the transfer window. This Senor is FACT. Thierry Henry was unsure then came out with his statement that he will be staying and as you also know - no-one yet knows what will happen as the contract has not been signed. What I do know is that his salary at Arsenal is to be around £110,000 per week. I would suggest that you could only afford him if you sell Ronaldinho. Especially as they play in a very similar role. In my opinion, I would say that Real Madrid would be favourites if he were to leave Arsenal. Now, in my opinion, he will stay with Arsenal if they finish in the top 4 or win the Champions League (ONLY) - under no other circumstances will he stay. Before you start with more 'rumours' I suggest you learn and reveal the truth.

Wow! Henry, you should calm down! Just let me tell you one thing. Barça doesnt steal players, players want to come to Barça. Of course -personal opinion- Thierry is one of the best players in the world, but if he goes to BArcelona will be because HE WANTS TO COME HERE!! Not because Barça steals anything! About Cesc Fabregas... Henry, we dont want him coming back, you know why? Because we respect the decison of the people and CESC WANTED TO LEAVE FC BARCELONA! or it was Arsenal stole him? Moderate your words, and think twice before talking. By the way, Barça and Arsenal have a lot of linked things, we are also about Passion, committment and love, there's only one different between us, we accept when somebody is not in love of us anymore. Or even better,we accept when somebody is still in love of us and he will be forever but... for one reason or another, he leaves us! Career has nothing to do with love honey!

So...............
Surely if Barca have an agreement with Henry then that is illegal as he's still under contract with us??? But if there's a chance that you do have an agreement would Barca really want FIFA knowing that they've illegally approached Henry? Henry is a god. The man isn't just an incredible talent but he seems genuine and honourable. I'm not sure he'll stay at Arsenal beyond this season (tho I do think that he wouldn't want to miss out on our first season in the new stadium), but for you to start spouting your FACTS is very naive. La Porta says what he thinks the fans want to hear......... Isn't there a presidential election coming up soon for Barca???

"Carmen", so what Ur actually sayin is that U haven't found anything different from that 1st post where U had Thierry wearing a Barca shirt... (that was tactful), and that indeed as we have all known all along, Thierry will makie a decision based on our league position and champions league exploits. So when U say "but we are not just posting some silly rumours or releasing some eye-catching headline to receive attention" what U should really say is "we have recurdled this drivel without any form of proof, and have based our 'facts' on the recent press ramblings (thru Sport newspaper the 'catalan' daily) of our players and Laporta, even tho Txiki and Cruyff have said that Barca are not interested and have no agreement"...... Then we would be closer to the truth. Ur just trying to wind us up, but I doubt barca is gonna win the CL and therefore i doubt that Thierry will be with next season.. 4 yrs at the new stadion with a team that will eclipse the whole of Europe.......

Well...
I would agree with the fact that Barcelona is by far the club that Henry would sign form, but that's only given that he leave Arsenal. And from what I get from this article it sound like that would be a fact, which it is not. The only thing that could almost be considered a fact is that Henry would choose Barca IF he leave Arsenal.

MK Gunner, thank you for your comment but I'm affraid you missed something. Belive me MK, read it again. We didnt say that Thierry will come FOR SURE, not at all! If he finally decides to stay there 4 more years, good for him and good for you!! Just let me tell you something MK, when you say "even Txiki and Cruyff have said that Barça are not interested and....." : 1st: what the hell is Txiki going to say?? 2nd: Cruyff has nothing to say, well he can say what he wants to, but he is not in the board, he is "only" a good friend of Txiki, otherwise believe me, Txiki would not be in the staff at all! Anyway MK, Thierry is a professional and one of the best players, so will see what HE will decide! When ever he plays football fans will enjoy of his football.

Im not gonna come on here and scream and swear on this thing because thee is no point....But that does not mean that i am any less peed off about these stories that come about in these websites or in tabloids in spain like marca and so on.....The truth of the matter is Thierry is a winner......He does not want his standards to drop at all and wants to be playing at the highest level week in week out.....He feels that..albeit with a point we have dropped a level this year at arsenal but we are on the way up again.....we have players at this club that are going to be the next world stars hopefully if they continue to develop at the same pace as now....I think that if Arsenal finish the season in a champions league place then Thierry Henry will be with us and sign a new deal.....however, if we dont, then im afraid that he will look for a move away and Barcelona are a fashionable club at the moment however way you look at it.
But it is very cheap and unprofessional, petty in any form for people to come out at say that he wont be here next season or he will be in Barca next season.....this is all waffle and inuendo until the end of the season. I hope that he will stay and sign a deal...he is our talisman, our captain, our everything.....The one thing that people need to remember that being a supposed 'BIG CLUB ' does not mean that you have some special right to win big trophies such as the champions elague before...arsenal fans have been here before...anelka and vieira tapped by real madrid....overmars and petit by barcelona...all with the lure of being a champions league winner.....Anelka now plays in turkey.....Vieira is about to be dumped out of the champions league in three weeks : ) overmars could not get into the side......and Petit didnt play again after Barca got whopped in turkey by Besiktas in 2001...Barcelona have one the champions league once in about 20 years havent they ? there is no guarantee that they will if Henry goes there?.... So why dont we just wait until the end of the season and if Henry goes then good luck to him...No one has left Arsenal to go on to bigger and better things..........

Dear Gooners,
it is great to receive all your comments and of course, we do did not expect a positive one either! But with all your excitement, you have to read carefully. The message of the article is that if (if!) Henry should decide to leave Arsenal, he will join FC Barcelona because verbal agreements are in place. Verbal agreements depend on the people to homour them. They can mean a lot or may be nothing. But fact is, that this exist (if you like it or not). Also Barca talked with Arsenal about a possible transfer already but this is not important at all. Once the player decided to leave, the power is with the player and the negotiation of the amount of the transfer fee is a formal procedure. It is correct, that Henry can not leave before summer 2007 without the agreement of Arsenal, but Arsenal would have only the choice between receiving a nice transfer fee now or letting him go on a bosman free transfer 1 year later. Hmm, if I would be Arsenal, I would know what to do. Take the money and look for a top class replacement that receives a new contract for 3-5 years. It is also right, that under FIFA rules, no written agreement can be signed while a player is longer than 6 month under contract and Arsenal has given their permission to talk to the player. This is why no written agreement is in place (and therefore anything can change until contracts are signed). But you should know, that reality (unfortunately) is different in the world of football. Especially, the Gooners should not forget about an Ashley Cole/Chelsea/Peter Kenyon affair. This was even on your doorstep! Again, I do not think that there is anything wrong in a verbal committment between Henry and Barca, if he should decide to leave the Club. What wonders me about all this is, that when Henry has got a contract for life offered with so much money, a most beautiful stadium in the world and the quarterfinals in the Champions League waiting, why he does not sign the piece of paper with the Club he loves and that loads him for life. Really, what is he waiting for? Does he want to wait if Arsenal wins the Champions League? What happens if they do not? Does he join Barca then? Is he waiting to the end of the season if Arsenal qualifies for Europe (difficult one)? What happens if not? Does he want more money? I do not think so, even he is a professional he is saying money is no issue. Is he waiting for new signings? Please, Arsenal fans, let me know why does he not sign? May be you have got a good reason, than tell me!

TH14 will stay, as the 2nd game against Chelsea and your weekend defeat proved you are not as good as you think you are. You have only one the European Cup/Champions league once (to the gunners none). No one likes a club (and fans) with a big ego - Chelsea have proved that. So calm yourself down and try to be more dignified, as you are supposed to be a club with some class

What r u talking about, Henry and then Fab, what is it with the spaniards. It's obvious that Arsenal r staring to find their way again. And to do that we need to keep the player we have so they can develop into the Arsenal we all know and love. The players know that too and will want to stick together and develop as a unit and as a family. Thats why we are the number 1 team in London, we don't need a russian to buy the league (and get 1 free) we spot talent and turn them into world class players. So stop printing u r dreams.

Thierry Henry has not signed due to the economical factors of footballing contracts which stipulate the signing should be encouraged at a more later date in reflection of the interests of the club, agent and player. You see if Henry signs now this will jeapordise his situation with agents and sponsorships. His sponsor won't allow this and neither will his agents as they are all, prior to the world cup at risk of losing money with Henry if this occurs. The club is in the same situation. A new contract will mean they lose money BEFORE the tax year ends in April and before the end of season. All parties, Arsenal, Henry, Nike, other sponsors and his agents are in a better position to resolute this matter in the Summer. That is why you stupid, no nothing, second rate, pathetic, gossip and rumour hoging pathetic and disgusting excuse for a blog. Now bugger off.

Further to neutral's list of FACTS, as opposed to all the regurgitated drivel in here which mainly originates from a Club President desperately seeking re-election, Thierry Henry is passionately opposed to racism, especially in football. Do you tossers really think such a man would seriously think for even one minute about ever playing in Spain? Or Italy for that matter? Get real!
I have been told by a source with high-up Arsenal connections that AFC have become so incensed by your Spanish low-life Clubs continually openly coveting our players without any UEFA/FIFA sanctions that they will be joining you. Expect media statements soon about how well Ronaldinho and Xavi would look playing beside Thierry - in the red and white!

Dear Jonny (Cache),
this is complete nonsense what you are writing there. First of all Henry would join a team sponsored by Nike. Second, the agent probably receives more money to bring the player to another Club than just sitting down and extending the contract. Second, what does the end of tax year in april have to do with a new employment contract in the summer (same with existing sponsor and marketing contracts). Even if it is signed now, the payment starts in July. so, what are you talking about?

Carmen,
Two points. 1st, Arsene Wenger has said that he knows that Henry has made no contact with Barca. This I believe strongly because ofthe extremem relationship between the manager and Henry. 2nd There is no way that either Ronaldhino nor Henry would accept being on the bench as it's blatently obvious that both players play the exact same game in the exact same area and couldn't co-exist on the same pitch. Your comments are obviously meant to be provocative (not very clever) and based on the spinning of very dubious reports already in the press!

You have stated as "Fact" that Barcelona have a verbal agreement with Thierry.
This being the case, you have not done so with the approval of the Arsenal Board. FACT You are therefore guilty of illegal tapping. FACT This court finds you guilty. The penalty is to sell Ronaldho or Messi to transferred to Arsenal for a sum of 20 quid. Thank you very much.

What so called INSIDE SOURCE...what sources do you guys have that every newspaper in europe doesnt... every newspaper has been trying to crack the case...but it seems that a blog that posts romours has gotten the nod from a so called insider?! hard to believe, i also doubt that Henry will verbally agree to anything b4 he signs for any club. Plus, i dont think he is too keen on Spain after the way they handled the Aragones case and also the Eto'o one.

Im suprised you have actually bothered writing this piece. There is no way in the world that Henry has agreed anything verbally. No matter how many time you say it, it doesnt become anymore real. If you were a Madrid fan, you be be writing for Marca?! They try and sign players they want by fueling similar speculation. I'm sure you will prove to be about as successful as them to. I.E not very.

Yes, I'm an Arsenal fan. Also a professional journalist.
I don't want to scream and yell and use profanity on this site, whether it's accurate or totally off its head. But I do want to point out a few things which really are FACT... 1. Henry's first preference is and always had been to stay at Arsenal. That does NOT rule out a sale, but makes it very unlikely now that the club's younger players are developing as Wenger hoped. 2. Whoever told you Thierry has a verbal commitment in place to sign with Barca is just winding you up, either for his own ego or whateve reasons. Sure, TH might wind up in Barca if several things all went wrong over the few months at Arsenal (unlikely), but I can PROMISE you that he's made no verbal promise to Barca or anytbody else. Thierry Henry simply would not do it, not ever. And trust me, if you're suggesting this is a deal already done with the club's approval and somehow the hundreds of media hounds climbing all over Arsenal have all missed the story of the century, well...you're dreaming. 3. Even as I say Henry could wind up at Barca, I truly do wonder why it makes sense from either side -- this is ASSUMING he decided to leave Arsenal, which I seriously doubt he will. Barca has a thousand great players up front now. You think Thierry just wants to ride along to have his picture taken with the CL trophy. For that matter, unless Barca has unlimited funs (doubtful), why wouldn't their superstar signing be somebody like Lampard, Gerrard or Kaka who can supply all these scorers? Henry's a great player, one of the best, but an odd fit for a team that's already loaded at the same position. 4. Don't be too hard on these Arsenal supporters who've been screaming on this blog. They've had to listen to so much crap for so long that it DOES make you want to yell. And I'm sorry because Barca isn't the worst offender, but most of the nonsense keeps coming from Spain -- where fans are still throwing bananas at black players. Can you understand why Gooners finally would go bonkers and start yelling when yet another Spanish club is talking about a "done deal" for a player who is passionately loyal to the club and his manager? 5. Even if Henry doesn't extend his Arsenal contract this summer (again, unlikely), why would Arsenal sell him then? Why not let him start next summer in the new stadium with all those exciting young players, hopefully catch the excitement and then negotiate again before January? Believe me, he'd still be worth a bundle on the market in THAT transfer window. Who would NOT want Thierry Henry? I don't think whoever writes this blog is lying or guilty of ulterior motives, but I DO suspect you're being fed some information with just enough truth to be believable -- but also with so many loopholes and get-out clauses that you ought to wonder whether your so-called "facts" are actually just possibilities -- and fairly thin ones at it. As a lifetime journalist, I'd want to hear a lot more evidence from people willing to give their names before I'd suggest Thierry Henry is going behind the back of Arsene Wenger, his club, his teammates and his millions of fans. As a bone fide story, it doesn't wash.

I've realised that Arsenal is just a quarter final team in Europe and I have to find a better team to compete and win the European Cup..and the best place is Barcelona FC. I'm sure you guys can know that deep down, Arsenal is a bunch of losers and our ass is going to be whipped against Juve. I suggest all of you all supporting Arsenal go find a better club to support so you guys don't get frustrated. Best choice is Barca but I some other suggestions would be teams like AC Milan or Liverpool which have more European class than Arsenal can even dream off.

Hi my beloved ex-fans,
I know it can be difficult for you'll to accept this but take it with an open heart. No heart feelings. I, just like Patrick Viera, your EX-CAPTAIN, feel I need to play for a better team to win trophies. We had 2 or 3 good seasons but that was it, frankly speaking. We are a team which speaks more than we should as you can see, we had our ass whipped so many times in the domestic front this season. For the "real t.henry", I can understand your agony in supporting a team of no hoppers (why did you think Patrick Viera left?), frankly they are and its time to move on, thats what I am doing my fan:)I do not see us winning any trophy this year or the coming years, so why not you support Barca and if you're not keen on Spanish soccer, you can support AC Milan or Juve from Italy or Liverpool or MU from England...don't worry, I am very open minded. They are teams which have proven to be teams of class which have continuously won trophies for years. Of course, I would be utterly dissapointed if you support Chelsea or Real Madrid as I admit they try to "buy" success but in reality, the team I have chosen, Barca are more than just buying success. Our wealth is similar to most big clubs but who can deny tallent of my future team-mates, Ronnie (ronaldinho) and Messi. Anyway good luck to all the Arsenal fans and remember my advice to cut down on your dissapointment, find another club which can be consistent with the winning mentality. Yours truly, Thiery Henry Barcelona FC

Hello Gooners,
How are you people doing? All I have to say about Thiery Henry is that you people should support him as he has been a loyal servant of the club. Everyone has to move on, and just like I did last season ..and frankly speaking, I have no regrets. People with winning mentality should move on from Arsenal and I believe that Henry should do that. In fact, I have been persuading him to come to Juve if possible though it looks like he's going to Barca. Whatver happens, you people should support him for his actions. If not for him (and of course ME), we would have won nothing, so be grateful for what we did for you all ok? Viva Juve, Patrick Viera P.S- Anyway, I am looking forward to coming back to Highbury for the CL quaterfinals, and of course I hope I score the winning goal. I hope you people celebrate my goal like you always did. Also no offence if I do any fouls on any of the current Arsenal players, or corn the ref into giving your players a Red card..its all part of the game right? I mean you guys supported me when I did that for Arsenal against other teams, so I hope I get the same support from you all when I do it against you all:)

Dear Steve,
thanks for your comment. we like constructive critism and this is why we are a blog and let people comment. Therefore we also do not delete any of this rubbish, only if it is of such content that we have no other choice. I have to answer you because I do not agree with most parts of your opinion and I also think that most of the commentors are too excited and do not think about what we really said. To your comment: 1. I agree that Henry loves Arsenal and that he has got a desire to play for the Club, especially after a long and such a successful time. He has to thank the Club for a lot of things and I am sure he is grateful for this. i also agree totally that this does NOT rule out a sale. Especially when it is his last contract he has to sign. Why should he not desire a new challenge? Why does he as a french man not want to change climate and play for the biggest football club in the world (about 125,000 members). It is a dream for any football player to play in front of 100,000 fans. He is guranteed European football (FC Barcelona is the only Club who has been in every year present in European football). We are talking about a professional football player who earns his money by kicking against a ball and is generally tempted to take a good offer. I can see that joining FC Barcelona is an excellent challenge for him. 2. Whoever reads the article should have read carefully and understood that Barcelona is in pole position to sign the player when he leaves the Club. Pole Position means start of the race not finishing first!!! Also the post mentiones that the president and people in the board room and around are saying that this verbal agreement exist. We believe in this information because until today we always received reliable information from our sources. But it is up to you to believe it or not. If you think, you know better, this is fine because you are entitled to express your view. but as a professional journalist (if you write for football) you should know that FC Barcelona, Arsenal FC and Thierry Henry have already negotiatede in the summer, but a transfer was not concluded because of the high transfer fee asked by Arsenal (they had too because only stupid money would have justified a Henry sale to the fans). so, why should there not a transfer this summer, the last time Arsenal can cash in on their star player? It is funny, that you can promise that here is no verbal agreement. Where is your proof? It s difficult to proof, the same we can not that one exsists. We both can only say, what we know from our sources that we believe in. By the way, it seems that spanish journalists are not missing the story of the century (hmm, a bit much isn´t it? I guess the story of the century would be if Ronnie would join arsenal when they are not playing champions league!). May be, the involved parties in Spain let information leak to the press while in England people are more serious (this is a compliment) and do not give this information away (especially the player). Another good reason is not to anounce anything as long as arsenal is challenging for the Champions League. If I would be Henry I would make sure I would not want to be the scape goat, when Arsenal exist the Competition (a possibility against Juventus). 3. Here I absolutely disagree with you entirely but I think an excuse is that you follow arrsenal and not FC Barcelona. First of all FC Barcelona has to replace 2 strikers (Henrik Larsson and Maxi). Larsson leaves Barca and Maxi has no future at all. so, may be 1 striker is not enough. Second, FC Barcelona has got fantastic offensive players, but they are very versatile, so they can play any position up front. Every player (even Etoo) can play on the left and on the right, central, as offensive midfielder on the wings behind the strikers), whatever you want. Third, Rijkaard wants to change his playing system from 4-3-3 to 4-2-2 which again would perfectly fit Henry on the left and Etoo on the right. With Ronaldinho left and Messi right (central midfield the choice of Deco, Xavi, Edmilson, Iniesta). Sounds like a great team to me! The only position they really need a top player is the right (wing) back (and the replacement for Larsson/Maxi, of course) 4. No comment - you would not like to hear what I have to say to this and I do not want to put more oil into the fire! 5. You as a journalist should know that there is even a new FIFA rule that says that a player above 28 years can leave the Club for a compansation. If there is a dispute about the transfer fee, FIFA will set this transfer fee. Henry´s transfer fee is valued 15 Mio. Believe it or not, look into FIFA rules (even the football manager games have this new rule!). FC Barcelona is even willing to pay the 15 Mio. (may be this is the verbal agreement?) but will let FIFA set the transfer fee if Arsenal asks for more. Everybody knows that if Henry wants to join Barcelona, that Arsenal has no chance to sell him to another Club. So, there is no chance of trying to sell him to somebody else. And for sure not in January. Why should Henry leave in January, when he can sit out 4 more month (the season is over in May) and go on a Bosman free. he can add the transfer fee on his salary. You are right that we are not lying and we only write what we believe is true. Why shouldn´t we, when the information up to now were good and reliable. Anyway, it is up to Thierry Henry to stop all the rumours. if he signs the contract that is on the table, all speculation is over. And we were completely wrong and have to eat our words. I am just wondering why the player who loves the club so much and is in debt to his mentor Wenger does not sign the paper or makes a clear promise to all Gooners? What is he waiting for? Again, time will tell, but I am afraid, that he will wear the Barca shirt soon. Good luck to you

hey sven, shh dun tell anyone about this. I am writing about what I know and obviously I cannot release my inside sources but I can confirm that I am posting with truthful intention and releasing valuable information coming from reliable sources within the Arsenal FC, that Lionel Messi, Ronaldinho and Carles Puyol are set to be used as makeweights in a deal to bring the highly-rated Pascal "Zinedine" Cygan to the Camp Nou. It is believed that Barcelona are prepared to offer all three players along with 39million euros, and possibly Deco and Giuly too, if Arsenal refuse to let go of their best French import in years. I know this might sound like a joke, but it's true! If you ask Monsieur Wenger for his opinions on this, I'm sure he would confirm that if Barcelona do make such an offer, he might consider letting go of his prized asset. Also, this one I'm not so sure about, but the other day when i was in the Highbury dressing room after our home win against Liverpool celebrating with the lads, I think I overheard Thierry saying to Walcott, "Next season, the both of us will set the Premiership alight together. and the season after that too. and many many more to come, until i retire when i reach 87, and by that time I would probably be slower than a legless tortoise" So, unless the "verbal agreement" includes Walcott moving over too, which I doubt, then I think that Thierry's statement obviously shows that he wants to stay at Arsenal.
SO sven, if you don't believe me, it's up to you. but my sources have NEVER failed me. up to you to believe. but it's difficult to prove i must admit. oh and in case you're wondering how come I know all this and none of the newspapers have reported it, it's because I have paid each newspaper that knows about this 10 billion euros to shut up and not report it. and if you're wondering how come I have so much money, it's because I am actually the brother of the good friend of the sister of the godfather of the mistress of the son of the wife of the pimp that handles Roman Abramovich and that Russian gives me money everytime I say that Didier Drogba is really good-looking and that Jose Mourinho is really humble, and oh, that Shaun Wright-Phillips is taller than Peter Crouch. so sit back and digest this very truthful information and ponder what life for barca would be like without puyol, messi, ronaldinho, deco and giuly would be. hey it'd be quite bad, but at least u guys will get pascal cygan, a tremendous goalscoring defender. i'm serious. check the stats, this season, he's scored two goals in every match he's played against fulham. also his defensive prowess can be seen from the fact that one of the world's top strikers, andriy shevchenko, has never in his long career scored past a defence with pascal cygan in it. now, even cannavaro doesnt have that record. to top it off and end my post, pele and maradona have not scored against ANY defence with pascal cygan in it. enough said. eddy
Reports in the English media indicate that Barcelona claim they have reached a verbal agreement to sign Arsenal striker Thierry Henry.
The Gunners' inspirational skipper has long been a target for the Catalan giants and his continuing reluctance to sign a new deal in North London has resulted in constant speculation over his future in The Premiership. Henry had seemed to indicate in January that he would extend his deal at Highbury, although Arsenal's stuttering domestic form has led to renewed doubts. With UEFA Champions League qualification in the balance The Gunners are desperate to prove to their captain that they can match his lofty ambitions, but their attempts will reportedly be thwarted by Frank Rijkaard's side. Reports claim that Barcelona have revealed they are confident of welcoming the French international to Camp Nou in the summer, possibly before the World Cup, after reaching a 'verbal agreement' with the striker. Furthermore any deal could reputedly be worth as little as £10 million for Arsene Wenger due to Fifa regulations regarding contracts for over-28's. As yet no official confirmation is forthcoming from the Liga side, and Arsenal will still be desperate to secure the future of their captain as they look to usher in a new era at the Emirates Stadium next season.
Looks like theres some truth to it probably. You can't deny this..where theres smoke, theres fire. And he can go for only GBP$ 10 million only due to some FIFA contract clause for players with less than a years service and above 28 years of age. Its funny to see how agitated all the Gooners are when they were just too happy to rile the Liverpool fans up when rumours of Gerrard leaving. What goes around comes around dude!

Note to LivRed - you don't have a scooby, do you! You're quoting from a Sky website, which is in turn quoting from The Times (owned, of course, by the same chap), who are in turn quoting from this website! As a Highbury regular I have no recollection of any taunting about Stevie OG, but if there was then that's just part of football - and that was rather different, as he was far more outspoken about his own uncertainty about where to go.
As for Tel - he might stay, he might go. I hope he stays, and if I had to put money on it at the moment then I believe he will. But if he goes then we'll deal with it and move on. The quote about 10 million quid is interesting, but actually couldn't be more irrelevant - that would only matter if only one team were interested, and I think if Henry is for sale it could be somewhat of a bidding war! New transfer record anyone?
