The injured FC Barcelona midfilder Xavi, who trained again the first time with the ball this week after his knee ligament injury in November 2005 is very positive about closing in on the Championship next Saturday. Barca player Xavi believes that the last train of Madrid will stop in Camp Nou, Barcelona. Together with his colleague Leo Messi the Barca midfielder attended a promotion event of Adidas and commented on the current situation: "We are in an excellent position and I think we have the opportunity to finish the championship race on Saturday." The Spanish International is full of respect for the Real Madrid team but believes that a Barca victory ends all speculation about who will win the championship this season.
With 11 points ahead in the table he admits that Barca is more thinking about how to advance in the UEFA Champions League to the semifinals than concentrating on La Liga but expresses his desire to win the important "Clasico" against Real Madrid.
