Barcelona based Sportspaper El Mundo Deportivo claims that Barca has got an option on Cesc Fabregas, former youth player of FC Barcelona. This option was negotiated when youth player Fabregas was leaving the Barca youth academy to play for Arsenal London. FC Barcelona received the FIFA compensation for training after rules set by FIFA and an option on the player. The option is only valid for a return to Spain, saying:
The agreement gives FC Barcelona the first right to sign Arsenal player Cesc Fábregas in the case of another Spanish club wanting to transfer him back to Spain.

After Cesc Fabregas stunning performances in the last month and his superb display in the UEFA Cup Champions League quarter final against Juventus Turin at Highbury last Tuesday, rumours are mounting that Barca´s eternal rival Real Madrid are keen to sign the young talented Fabregas to rebuild their squad for next season. Speculation also exist that FC Barcelona are monetoring his development. In case such an option exists and Fabregas would return to his native country, FC Barcelona would be probaly the Club the player will join. However, it is said that the agreement is not binding outside of Spain.

Reliable sources say that this option is only a gentle man agreement between FC Barcelona´s Sandro Rossell and Arsenal´s David Dein and no written agreement exists. It is said, that this gentleman agreement exists for Spain.

It seems that the british press is obsessed of young Cesc Fabregas at present but we believe that he will stay for some time at Arsenal. Where would Cesc Fabregas fit into the current Barca starting line up? We can not see this possibility at present!

Why do you think Cesc came to Arsenal instead of staying at home and playing for the team of boyhood idols? Wake up and smell the gazpacho, you losers.

You know, it's rather tedious and somewhat damaging to your already limited credability to continually make wild claims that you've got options on every player you see that can kick a ball in a straight line

I absolutely love this guy. This is the Comical Ali of blogging. You piss off some arsenal fans badly, but as a gooner i think you're hilarious. The sordid web of intricate rumours and sources and your infantile errors in english. Ah, bless. Your a top joker!! One thing, if you want Henry you'll have to wait, if you want cesc, the catalan we got for free and has a 6 year contract, you'll have to PAY!! Keep writing. You and a beer a day are seriously good for the heart!

The classic is that La Porta is such an idiot. After watching Madrid go down the pan from a policy of accumulating bigger name players from other clubs. (remember how it felt after Figo left?) Trying to destabilise Henry. They let the real stars and future names go for free from their academy. Great, Barca have turned a club that everyone loved to one that everyone hates because of their fans arrogant attitude. You are only a few results from copying Madrid disaster.
