Frank Rijkaard

Barça coach Frank Rijkaard spoke to the press and told reporters today that we have not seen the best of the Barca team yet and that Barça are still not at their peak this season, insisting:

We can still get better in terms of physical fitness and in the pace of our game.

Young defender Rodri is back in the squad, but Leo Messi is still out. With Oleguer rested for the game, Rijkaard has the chance to take another look at B team defender Rodri or bringing Edmilson back into the centre of defence. About the decision to leave wizzkid Loionel Messi out for the Racing match, Barca coach Rijkaard explained:

We don't want to take any risks at this stage. He understands that he has to be 100% to travel with the team. He's only just got back into training.

Both, brazilian international Ronaldinho and Cameroon striker Eto'o picked up knocks on Wednesday against Benfica and FC Barcelona manager Frank Rijkaard explianed:

Ronnie has been playing a lot of big games and he got a knock in the last against Benfica, so he needs time to recover but Etoo has trained well and he'll play.
