FC Barcelona coach Frank Rijkaard is still unbeaten in Europe at Camp Nou. During his three years at the helm of Barca, coach Rijkaard has never lost a European match in the Camp Nou: 10 victories and 3 draws

In the 2003-04 UEFA Cup, Barca beat FKM Puchov (8-0), Panionios NFC (2-0) and Brondby (2-1), before drawing against Celtic (0-0).

In his first Champions League season 2004/2005 with Barca, he won the first two games against FC Shakhtar Donetsk (3-0) and AC Milan (2-1) and drew again with Celtic (1-1). In the next round of the last 16, he defeated Chelsea (2-1).

In this year´s Champions League campaign, three clear wins in the three group stage matches against Udinese (4-1), Panathinaikos (5-0) and Werder Bremen (3-1) resulted in a 100% home record. In the last 16, Barca drew against Chelsea (1-1) and beat Benfica (2-0) in the quarterfinals.

Rijkaards record in the Nou Camp Nou could hardly be better: 10 victories and 3 draws with 35 goals scored (2.69 goals per match) and only 7 conceded (0.53 per match).

In addition, another statistic should raise more optimism to reach the Champions League final in Paris: FC Barcelona had always qualified for the next round when the team has won the first leg away from home!

This happened in:
1959-60(last 16), curiously against AC Milan (0-2 in the San Siro and 5-1 in the Nou Camp)

1985-86 (last 32) of the European Cup against Sparta Prague (0-2 in Prague but lost the match in Camp Nou 0-1)
2001-02 (Champions League qualifying round) against Wisla Krakow (3-4 in Krakau and 1-0 in the Camp Nou)

2005-06 (last 16) against Chelsea FC (1-2 at Stamford Bridge and 1-1 at Camp Nou)
