The Italian media were full of praise for the performance of the Barca team against AC Milan on tuesday night. The centre of attention was all in agreement Ronaldino but the media also honoured that the victory of Frank Rijkaard's Barca team was due to the team effort and the efficiency of the squad.

According to the majority of Italy's press Ronaldinho lived up to all expectations. Ludovic Giuly also earned rave reviews for his goal, while Andrés Iniesta also enjoyed some praise for another fine display in the centre of midfield but brazilian superstar Ronaldinho was the centre of attention.

Milan based Gazetta dello Sport highlighted the efficency of Barça as they proved to be superior to Milan by scoring the only goal of the game: "Milan made many errors. Gilardino hit the post and many chances were wasted. Barça were implacable. Ronaldinho inspired and Giuly scored." The italian papers praised their man-of-the-match. "Ronaldinho left Milan senseless. Barça won in the San Siro thanks to his magic and his assist for Giuly. Now in Camp Nou a great display is needed." The editorial also praised Ronaldinho. "Half a metre of space, half a second of time and Ronaldinho put Barça halfway to the final."

Sports paper Tuttosport of Turin displayed the headline 'Ronaldinho Show' in English. As well as praising the Brazilian superstar Ronaldinho Gaucho, they also picked out Barca midfielder Iniesta. "He dominated, he runs, thinks and then decides, while Pirlo remained trapped".

Rome´s daily Corriere dello Sport outlined the enjoyable football of Barça led by Ronaldinho. But the paper believes that the tie is not over yet: "Milan will not give up", said the headline. The newspaper also praised the Barcelona team: "Giuly does not forgive. A great Barça team won in San Siro. A great game will be necessary in Camp Nou and, although it will be difficult, Ancelotti still believes." On the cover of the paper they stated Ronaldinho "even outshines Kaká".
