Milan players Kaká, Nesta and Ambrosini got injured against Messina yesterday and are very doubtful for the rematch against FC Barcelona in the Champions League semi final on Wednesday.
A hard fought away victory in Serie A gainst lowly Messina (3-1) brought Milan back into to Italian Championship race but might be fire back on their attempt to win the Champions League. Milan midfielder Massimo Ambrosini is expected to miss out the match at Camp Nou and central defender Alessandro Nesta as well as Brazilian international Kaká are very doubtful to be back in the squad on Wednesday. Also veteran right full back Cafu (knee) and striker Shevchenko (foot) received nasty knocks, but both Milan players are expected to be fit for the semi final clash against Barca.
In a very tough match, the referee of the match showed 10 yellow and 4 red cards. Nocerino, Sculli and Aronica were sent off for Messina and Seedorf for Milan.
But there is also good news for Milan. Filippo Inzaghi will be back in the squad against Barca and is expected to play for young striker Gilardino, who missed some big opportunities in the first leg of the semi final.
