FC Barcelona star Xavi has been battling to return to fitness and could now play a part in the UEFA Champions League matches. About four months after damaging the knee ligaments, Barça midfielder Xavi is ready to play again.

May be this week´s Champions League match against AC Milan will come to early for Xavi, knowing that Frank Rijkaard opposes to rushing player´s to early into competitive matches. Xavi said:

I hope to be able to play in Barcelona's last two or three league games, and if they reach the Champions League final, I also hope to be able to help them in Paris. Maybe I will get a run out this week, if the coach agrees.
