Sevilla´s right back Daniel Alves has confirmed that he and FC Sevilla are studying an offer made by newly crowned Spanish champions FC Barcelona. It is common knowledge that FC Barcelona is looking to strengthen the team on the right back position and Brazilian Alves has his admirers within the Barca technical staff. A potential deal could involve a permanent move of Barca´s Javier Saviola who is currently on loan from Barcelona to Sevilla. On his official website, young Sevilla defender Alves confirmed: "The President Del Nido has told me that Barcelona and other teams have shown interest or made offers for my services". Daniel Alves also confirmed that he is happy in Sevilla and recognises what the Club has done so far for him:

Anything that I am now or that I may be in future owes a great deal to Sevilla, a city where I’ve been made to feel at home and before making any decision we’re all going to have to sit down with the President and decide what’s best for the club.

FC Barcelona Blog is aware of at least one strong foreign contender who made a firm offer to sign the Sevilla right back.
