Henry Larsson

After the match, FC Barcelona striker Henrik Larsson spoke about his emotional feelings and his final decision to leave FC Barcelona at the end of the season:

I am very happy here, but all things have their time and I now have to go home. I am a bit sad because it was my last game at home, but now we have the final in Paris. I have no words to describe how grateful I am to the fans, it has been a pleasure. They have asked me to stay on various occasions, but it is time to go home. My family want to go back.

Henrik Larsson will leave FC Barcelona will lose a fine character and a player with a very professional attitude. He has been a legend at Celtic Glasgow and we know why. Only two year´s in Barcelona he won the hearts of the fans.

FC Barcelona Blog wishes Henrik Larsson all the best for his return to Helsingborg.

Good luck Henke. You were a legend at Paradise and I'm glad you have enjoyed your time in Barcelona.

Any chance of one more year at C.P. ?

Pablo,
thanks for you comment, but I guess there is no chance. Not at Celtic Park and not at Camp Nou. FC Barcelona tried everything, including the fans but it looks like his decision is definite.
By the way, great blog that you are running!

We always knew Henke was good enough for any club in the world, even Barcelona. It is heartening to see the Barca fans have taken the man to their hearts. Best wishes to "The Man" and his family on his return to Sweden and we'll follow you in the World Cup.

Henke went to the best team in the best league in the world and made an impact... in one step he made every english commentator eat their own words, which was nice. Henrik will always be my idol, the hardest working player I have ever seen (him and Chris Sutton). I hope Barca win the CL for Celtic and Henke but most of all for Catalonia.

Henke good luck for the final chapter in your career, you are a model professional for every club you have been at. Even when the "English" media didn't think you where good enough because you played in Scotland, you showed them what you could do in Europe. Good luck and see you in Berlin on the 15th June.

Hail Hail
