The President of FC Barcelona, Joan Laporta, did not take part in the open bus celebration and convoy through the City of Barcelona. Full of joy for the celebration, he was already back in his office to prepare for next weeks Champions League final against Arsenal. Confident of the chances to win the Final against Arsenal, he feels that FC Barcelona owes the supporters the European Cup and feels that Barca has got the obligation to bring the Champions League trophy back to Barcelona:

"I am grateful to Catalunya for the high esteem in which it holds Barça. This championship is much more important than the one last year because it shows that the project continues and is strong and firm. There has been a magnificent showing from the people, possibly more than last year. We have the obligation to bring the Champions League back to Barcelona. From tomorrow onwards the players will focus totally on Paris. I prefer to be prudent, although I am confident of our chances."
