FC Barcelona´s striker Samuel Eto'o lost ground in the race for Europe´s top Scorer Award, the "Golden Boot".

Barca´s goal machine, Eto'o, did not score in last weekend´s derby against Espanyol in Camp Nou, while European´s leading goalscorer Luca Toni of Fiorentina, netted twice and has scored an impressive 30 goals in Serie A.
Cameroon hitman Eto'o has also been overtaken by Arsenal´s Thierry Henry who scored an impressive hat-trick on the last day of the Premiership against Wigan. It was his special farewell in the last Arsenal match ever played at Highbury. Henry´s goal record in the Premiership this season stands at 27 goals.

Eto'o has scored 25 goals so far and has still got 2 matches in hand but would have to score 5 goals in the last 2 away matches for Barcelona to equal Toni´s 30 goals in the Italian Championship to share the prize that he so desires.

FC Barcelona´s Samuel Eto'o is still Spain´s leading goalscorer but in form Valencia hitman David Villa is a strong contender for the "Pichichi", Spain´s Best Goalscorer Award.

Last weekend, David Villa cut Eto'o´s lead to just 1 goal. Eto'o is on 25 and Valencia´s Villa on 24 for this season.

I allways told everybody. If Eto'o would make it through elementary school, he would be a better player.

Maybe someday he will learn to pass the ball!

NOT :D
