FC Barcelona president Joan Laporta was very clear about the transfer rumours of Barca´s top scorer Samuel Eto'o:

"Barça is not afraid of Roman Abramovich´s Chelsea or Milan. The players love Barça and they will stay. All of them have a contract with the Club and are committed. Therefore we are very calm. At the moment, I can claim with pride that the great players of the world want to come to play at FC Barcelona".

It is known that Chelsea is looking for more firepower up front and have been big admirers of the Cameroon striker Samuel Eto'o, but Italian rumours see Primera´s leading goal scorer Eto'o moving to Milan in order to replace their top star Shevchenko, who is supposed to join Chelsea.

But Samuel Eto'o has been quick to deny these rumours clearly on Jordi Basté's programme on RAC1 and revealed that next year, he would play at Camp Nou "for sure" and that nobody has negotiated on his behalf with anybody and that he has not received any offer at all.

Arsenal´s and Premiership goal scorer Thierry Henry is expected to make an announcement about his future after the Champions League Final against FC Barcelona. FC Barcelona is expecting Thierry Henry to sign a new contract with the Spanish Champion but Barca president Joan Laporta does not confirm yet: "It would be a lack of respect to talk about him now".

Barca has to replace Henrik Larsson who is leaving FC Barcelona at the end of the season but the arrival of Thierry Henry could tempt Barca to cash in on the volatile Cameroon striker.

There is also another famous player´s name cruising around Nou Camp in the last couple of days since he was showing his willingness to leave Atletico Madrid: Fernando Torres!
Joan Laporta simply stated, after being asked about Barca´s interest for Torres that it would be technical secretary Txiki Begiristain´s responsibility to reveal if Fernando Torres is of any interest to Barca.
