
FC Barcelona player Henrik Larsson and Arsenal veteran Dennis Bergkamp will both say "goodbye" to their current clubs when they appear in the Champions League Final in Paris on Wednesday. While the Barça striker "Henke" Larsson is returning to his hometown Club Helsingborg in Sweden, the Arsenal forward has decided to retire.
Both players have been stars for many years and the names Larsson and Bergkamp have enjoyed incredible, successful careers and playing the final in Paris just the perfect send-off, but they both, Larsson and Bergkamp have one target in mind: lifting the Champions League trophy for the first time.
The Swedish international Henrik Larsson is a typical goalscorer and was always recognised for this wherever he has played. With Feyenoord Rotterdam, Celtic Glasgow and now with FC Barcelona. For Celtic he scored an incredible 176 goals in 222 games. For Barca this season Larsson has made 39 appearance for the Blaugrana (27 in the spanish league, nine in the Champions League and three in the Copa del Rey) and scored 15 goals.
Dennis Bergkamp is a legend in the Netherlands and for the Arsenal supporters. He is second top goalscorer for the Dutch national team with 37 goals in 79 appearances just behind Ex-Barca player Patrick Kluivert, who is Holland´s top scorer. He began in the Ajax youth department and made his debut for the Ajax first team with 17. In 1995 he joined Inter in Italy before he went to play his best football.
