the FC Barcelona team arrived savely at paris´Charles de Gaulle Airport.
the sun was shining and the team was in excellent mood. The Boeing 747 carried all Barca players, coaching staff, Board Members and Officials as well as plenty of journalists who will report about European´s biggest Club competition. The interest of Spanish sport journalists in covering the Champions League final against Arsenal is huge due to the fact the Club has a good chance to conquer the European trophy for the second time in Barca´s history.


The Boeing 747 has a capacity for nearly 600 passengers, enough for the whole squad, coaching staff, the Board of Directors, journalists and a large group of fans. Among the passengers were many people closely linked to the Club such as former players Luis Enrique and Carles Rexach. In total, there were 577 passengers in the plane that left Barcelona this noon.


In the afternoon the Barca team will be staying at the Hotel Trianon Palace and will train later at the Stade de France in the early evening. Barca coach Frank Rijkaard and some players will attend the traditional press conference on the evening before the Champions League final.


The Board of Directors will be staying at the Hotel Hilton "Arc de Triomphe" and will take part in a number of events including the inauguration of an exhibition in the 'Maison de la Catalogne' and the official UEFA dinner.
