Henrik Larsson was delighted to lift the UEFA Champions League and say goodbye to FC Barcelona in style. His terrific performance including the two assists to both goals showed how valuable he is for the Barca team.


Ex-Celtic legend and Barca hero Henrik Larsson:

"It was a tough match and the whole team deserve credit for the win," he said. It was an unbelievable way for me to finish my career at Barcelona. I have had a fantastic experience here in my two years with two league titles and now this. It's amazing."


Barca goalscorer Samuel Eto'o delighted:

"I am lost for words. For all those who came to support us here and for everyone back in Spain we have shown what we can do here today. We deserved to win. We never gave up, we were carried by Liverpool's spirit. Having seen the final last year we knew that everything was possible, that the game was not over until the referee blew the final whistle."
