Barca´s top scorer Samuel Eto'o wins the Pichichi Award with 26 goalssven 22nd May 2006 FC Barcelona´s striker Samuel Eto'o scored 26th goal goals this season. An astonishing amount considering he was absence for nearly 2 month due to the African Cup of Nations. His goal against Athletic Bilbao on Saturday made him the sole leader in La Liga, followed by young striker David Villa from FC Valencia. For the tenth time, the leading goalscorer in the Spanish First Division is a FC Barcelona player. Nine different players in a Barca shirt have all finished top scorer in the Spanish Primera Liga: Mariano Martín (1942-43), César Rodríguez (1948-49), Cayetano Re (1964-65), Carles Rexach (1970-71), Hans Krankl (1978-79), "Quini"(twice: 1980-81 and 1981-82), Romario (1993-94), Ronaldo (1996-97) and now Samuel Eto'o in the season 2005/2006.
