Sevilla defender Daniel Alves's agent Jose Rodriguez Baster of Promoesport in Barcelona claims that there are several top European Clubs after Daniel Alves.
The player Alves himself already claimed on his official website that FC Liverpool is very interested in his services. No wonder, it is publicly known that Liverpool coach Rafael Benitez is a long-time admirer of the Brazilian defender. Now may be the time, when Liverpool can agree on the transfer fee which is estimated to be in the region of € 15 Mill.


FC Barcelona is another Club that is interested, having made inquiries about his availability. Real Madrid could be another suitor.


Alves agent "Rodri" knows that his player is in demand after his superb performances in last season´s Spanish Championship and UEFA Cup campaign and it could be that Dani Alves is on the move this summer when the offer is right.


Promoesport´s "Rodri" Baster denied rumours that FC Barcelona would first option on the player, if he decided to leave FC Sevilla. The rumours said that the first option on Alves was agreed when Saviola was loaned to FC Sevilla one year ago. Nevertheless, Baster confirmed that there is no agreement with the player himself and with Saviola just having rejected the contract offer of Sevilla to join the Andalucian side some hours ago, this heavy weapon seems to be out of the contest to sign Daniel Alves. "Rodri" told Madrid based Marca:

"To all the teams that have called me, and in addition to everyone publicly, I have said that the first thing they must do is speak with Sevilla, to reach an agreement with the club. Barcelona were put in contact with us to know Daniel's situation and we directly transferred them to Sevilla. Since then, we have not spoken with them. Nothing can be discarded and, in addition, there are great clubs also involved who have not yet been publicised. I cannot say it, with respect to the clubs, but I can say that there are three important clubs, at European level, that have shown their interest in Alves."
