Barcelona-born Newcastle United forward Albert Luque has been linked by several Spanish media as a possible replacement for Swedish international Henrik Larsson, who has left the Club for Helsingborg. But Newcastle´s Luque has played down speculation of a move to Champions League winner FC Barcelona so far. The 28 year old striker Luque insisted that he has no intentions to leave Newcastle United at present. Luque actually prefers to stay at St. James Park because he believes he would struggle to find a place in the starting line up at Barca becauwse he feels that the Spanish Champions is one of the best teams in the world:
"I am happy here and Newcastle are counting on me. I have no need to move clubs. It's very difficult to earn a starting place at Barca or Real Madrid because they are the best teams in the world. With players like Samuel Eto'o, Ronaldinho and Lionel Messi it's very difficult to be in Barca's starting 11." "
