FC Barcelona and the Chelsea forward, Eidur Gudjohnsen have agreed personal terms and the transfer of the Icelandic international solely depends on whether Barça and Chelsea can agree on a realistic transfer fee for Gudjohnson.
The negotiations between Barcelona and Chelsea are currently bogged down by a financial disagreement between the two Clubs. Barça is not willing to pay the €15 Mill. transfer fee, demanded by Chelsea and the Stamford Bridge outfit does not want to lower the price. Barca has got a max. fee of €10 Mill. in mind, for a 27 year old player who would probably start on the bench, if all Barca stars are fit. Gudjohnson received two offers so far, from FC Barcelona and Manchester United, but the Chelsea forward is keen to join the Spanish Champion and European Cup winner Barcelona.
