Doctor Jordi Ardèvol has stepped down as manager of the FC Barcelona Medical department following a mutual agreement between both parties to end his contract.
During Doctor Jordi Ardèvol´s time at FC Barcelona, the medical services of Barca have undergone a major process of modernisation, and have set new standards on both a national and international level in terms of sports medicine.
The decision to step down is part of the restructuring process of Barca´s medical services in preparation for the 2006/07 season, the objective being to continue improving one of the most important areas of the club.
