Barca Players at the World Cup: Larsson scores against Englandsven 21st June 2006 Barca player and Champions League final hero Henrik Larsson scored the equaliser against England. Larssons last minute goal gave Sweden second place in Group B on Tuesday night. England finish top of the group but are likely to be without Newcastle united striker Michael Owen for the rest of the tournament after he suffered a bad knee injury in the first minutes of the match. A spectacular goal from Chelsea´s Joe Cole in minute 35 gave England a first half lead, but just minutes into the second half Allback hit back with a fine header from a corner. Sweden continued to push hard, especially from set pieces. Only the crossbar on two occasions and a goal line clearance by Steven Gerrard from Kim Kallstrom, prevented the Scandinavians from taking the lead. When Sweden were piling on the most pressure England took the lead again, thanks to substitute Steven Gerrard who scored his second goal of the world cup tournament with just a few minutes left, before Larsson got the point for Sweden following terrible defending of the english defence line.
