New Barca asssitant coach and former player Johan Neeskens feels that Australian defender Lucas Neill could do a good job at any top team in Europe.

Neeskens, currently assisting Guus Hiddink in managing the Socceroos in the World Cup in Germany, is impressed by Neill´s performance for the Austrailan national team and Blackburn Rovers in the Premiership and told the Sydney Morning Herald:

"Why not? Of course, Lucas has proved he can play at a very high level - he was solid, concentrated for 90 minutes against Brazil. He has already shown with Blackburn Rovers that he is a player for a very high level. He could play for any of the best clubs."

FC Barcelona Blog does not believe that Lucas Neill will become the first Australian to play for FC Barcelona.
