FC Barcelona's new summer signing Icelandic international Eidur Gudjohnsen has revealed that his greatest dream is to knock former club Chelsea out of next season's UEFA Champions League. Former Chelsea forward Gudjohnson is also looking forward at the prospect of playing a more positive and attacking style of football after admitting Frank Rijkaard's European champions have adopted a unique, attractive attacking style. New Barca signing Gudjohnson is already fired up and looking forward to new challenges in the upcoming season: "I achieved my goal of winning The Premiership. Now my dream is to knock Chelsea out of the Champions League. Barcelona play a different style and anybody would want to play in this team. They play a quick, aggressive game and are always looking to attack. I love that way of playing and I can't wait for the first game."
Barca´s new boy Gudjohnsen was also linked to Manchester United and Real Madrid before signing for the Champions League winner Barcelona. Gudjohnson admitted that the Merengues were the first club who approached him and made a proposal. Gudjohnson admitted: "The first team that was interested in me this year was Real Madrid. The directors of Chelsea spoke to me about the possibility of going to Madrid before Barcelona became an option to contemplate. I said NO to that. Barcelona was my first option. It presents an enormous challenge."
