Real Madrid´s election farce continues and there is no end in sight to the chaos that currently shrouds the club.

The pantomime that surrounds the "Casa Blanca" has reached a new low after the results of the presidential election were postponed. The Merengues are still without an official president because a Madrid judge suspended the postal vote on Friday after Calderon and other candidates raised concerns over the lack of guarantees to ensure its legitimacy. The result of the election remains uncertain after presidential candidate Villar Mir questioned the legal ruling to disallow the postal votes. A final decision could take a number of days should the independent lawyers rule in favour of Juan Miguel Villar Mir.

Follow up:

Real Madrid's former director Ramon Calderon has already claimed victory in the club's presidential election, although the result remains uncertain:

"I have won the elections. The board is delaying the announcement because a member is trying to persuade candidates to challenge the result."

Ramon Calderon further hit out at Real´s board decision to postpone the announcement of the new president:

"This is madness, it's a disgrace how this has been done. It's not up to the standard of a great club like Real Madrid. The board have had these results for the past two hours, and as a lawyer, I cannot understand their decision tonight."

Miguel Angel Villar Mir was quick to respond Calderon´s outburst and hit back:

"Mr Calderon can shut up and stop celebrating a victory. The votes sent by post have not yet been counted."

A Real Madrid spokesman announced that Ramon Calderon had received 8,344 votes, 246 more than former board member Palacios (8,098) and 1,642 more than Villar Mir (6,702). Former president Lorenzo Sanz and lawyer Arturo Baldasano trailed well behind in the election.

About 42% of the 66,355 club members entitled to vote attended personally at Sunday's presidential elections.

We are waiting for more madness over the next few days...
