FC Barcelona´s french winger Ludovic Giuly has revealed he is ready to sign a new deal at Barcelona. 29-year old Giuly, who turns 30 next Monday, is expected to sign a 1-year extension to his current contract that expires in summer 2007. His new contract on improved terms will then expire on 30th of June 2008.
Also his agent, Alain Migliaccio, confirmed that a deal has been agreed with Barca´s vice-president Ferran Soriano and sport director Txiki Begiristain. The forward is expected to fly into Barcelona within the next few days to put pen to paper.

FC Barcelona received a lot of interest for Frenchman Guily, among others from European Clubs Liverpool, Arsenal, Galatasaray, AS Monaco and Olympique Lyon. Giuly admitted Olympic Lyon made him personally the best and very tempting offer to return to France but Giuly revealed that Barca always has been his priority and therefore snubbed any of the offers to lure him away from FC Barcelona: "Lyon and Liverpool wanted to get me. Lyon made me a very beautiful proposition. But Barcelona has always been my priority and we quickly found an agreement for an extension of my current contract."

Barcelona have offered Giuly a one-year extension with improved personal terms and the Frenchman is expected to put pen-to-paper in the next few days.
