Barca right full back Juliano Belletti, hero and goal scorer in the Paris Champions League Final defeating Arsenal 2-1 has been spending his holidays in his native Brazil.

Shortly he will return for Barca´s preseason preparation and the first tour to Denmark. In an interview, exclusively for the official Barca-Website he admitted that he can not wait to start his first team training again and is looking forward to see his team mates: "I am missing seeing the Camp Nou full of fans, and training with my team mates. I cant wait to get playing football again".

In this exclusive interview Barca´s Belletti described how he had been received in his native Brazil after scoring the winning goal in the Champions League Final in Paris against Arsenal.

FC Barcelona: How did your compatriots treat the Champions League winning goalscorer?
JulianoBelletti: "Truth is my arrival in Brazil was incredible. The people gave me a warm welcome. A lot of people have told me how much I deserved to score the winning goal, but at the same time they are sorry I wasn't chosen to go to the World Cup in Germany."

FC Barcelona: Have you been following the World Cup?

Juliano Belletti: "It is impossible not to follow a tournament like that with so many top class players. I have been able to watch just about every game that has been played."

Follow up:

FC Barcelona: What did you think of the Barça players taking part?
Juliano Belletti: "I think all the Barcelona players at this World Cup, and there were lots of them, have generally played very well. But (he laughs) I like seeing them wearing Barça shirts better."

FC Barcelona: What did you make of Brazils performance at the World Cup?

Juliano Belletti: "Like all Brazilians, I was sorry we got knocked out in the quarter finals. There is no doubt that the team has the best players in the world, but at the same time they didn't know how to produce their best football."

FC Barcelona: A lot has been said about the defeat to France.

Juliano Belletti: "In Brazil they have been saying a lot about that game. But whatever, you have got to be fair and accept that the French played a brilliant game and deserved to win."

FC Barcelona: What was it with your team, what was missing?
Juliano Belletti: "I don't know what to say, because when you see things from outside you can't say too much. Anyway, and always from my point of view, I don't think there was enough joy in their football."

FC Barcelona: Are they being too hard on Ronaldinho?

Juliano Belletti: "A bit, and I totally disagree with what they are saying about his performances. Ronaldinho is still the best player in the world, and I will be doing all I can to make sure he is OK and as happy at Barça as he has always been."

FC Barcelona: Along with Argentina, Brazil were one of the favourites to lift the World Cup, but it was European teams that came through in the end.
Juliano Belletti: "It is normal enough to speak of favourites in a competition like the World Cup. The thing is that you have to show that on the pitch."

FC Barcelona: With Brazil out, after the quarter finals who were your favourites to win?

Juliano Belletti: "I would have liked Portugal, for two reasons: I would like to have seen Deco win the World Cup and Scolari has been an important person in my life. But it wasn't to be."

FC Barcelona: There is not long to go till Barça are back in action.
Juliano Belletti: "That's right. Football is my life, and my life is Barça. I am really missing the Camp Nou being full of fans, training with the rest of my team mates, and my friends, and more than anything, just playing football again."

FC Barcelona: Like last year, the teams starts work in Aarhus.

Juliano Belletti: "Yes. It did us good last season, we worked hard and ended up winning the double. We were treated well. I am glad to get back to work in the same place."

FC Barcelona: What are your goals for this season?
Juliano Belletti: "The same as ever. To give my life to Barça and its fans."
