Barça TV is now being broadcast to 53 countries around the world as the international expansion of FC Barcelona continues.

The first international distribution agreements to expand Barça TV worldwide were first signed with Japan and France in the summer of 2005. In November last year, the club increased the channel's reach by joining forces with Transworld International (TWI) targeting global growth and to open new routes to business and give access to the club to even more Barca fans.

Now supporters in Europe, Asia and Africa can tune in and watch Barça TV thanks to deals that have been signed. FC Barcelona began to air an international version of the channel at the start of 2006. It began with a limited version of the day's programmes, broadcasting six hours of television a week to Barca fans around the world. The compact news programmes for the international market are sent out on Eutelsat and Asia Sat, to ensure that Europe, Asia, the Middle East and parts of North Africa are covered with the Barca TV international programme.
