FC Barcelona Blog already reported about the South East Asia Trip of Barca´s marketing departement, headed by Esteve Calzada. We already reported about the conclusion of the marketing deal with Singapore based multinational beer brewer Tiger. Now FC Barcelona has also completed and signed 3 more marketing deals in Beijing, China with China´s biggest sports publisher Titan Sports, China´s biggest website Sports CN and digital TV-Channel Eurosoccer.

Here are the details from FC Barcelona´s official website:

Titan Sports
Titan Sports has agreed to promote Barça and football in general through the publishing of a Chinese language Barça magazine that will be distributed with Weekly Soccer magazine which prints 250,000 copies a week. FC Barcelona will also feature in all Titan media with a free space for sponsors, a space for communicating messages to members and free copies for FC Barcelona fans and members in China.

Titan Sports is the biggest sports publisher in China. The company is supported by the MIH Group in South Africa, which is NASDAQ quoted. Titan Sports publishes a newspaper with a print run of 1.5 million copies and Soccer Weekly magazine, an 80 page publication that prints 250,000 copies a week. These are the two most important publications in the Chinese sector, with 80% and 60% market shares respectively.

Sports CN

Sports CN, with two million visitors a day, will also promote the Barça brand in China through the development of an exclusive Barça web site in the local language. The agreement means additional income for the club and will multiply the web's traffic by ten. These figures could represent more than 15% of the total FC Barcelona website traffic.

Shanghai Sports CN Information Technology, founded in 2000, is the biggest sports website in China, with 2 million single visitors a day. Sports CN belongs to the NASPERS group, a multinational operating in different areas of the television, Internet and Instant Messaging markets, and publishes magazines, books and magazines. Sports CN is already producing webs for Bayern Munich, Juventus, Roma and PSV Eindhoven in China.

Eurosoccer
The contract with Eurosoccer means Barça TV will be seen throughout China as part of the club TV station's plan for international expansion. The launch of Barça TV in China supposes a potential audience of 100 million people. Eurosoccer will have exclusive broadcasting rights, and will offer six hours of Barça TV content, among other products, via its pay, satellite and free channels.

EuroSoccer is one of the two digital channels with football licences in China and operates for WIN TV, a joint venture between Guangdong Television and Euroline Media & Marketing GmhH, a German company with media interests. The investors in WIN TV have ample experience of the Chinese media market, including the management and ownership of Focus Media, an advertising company specialised in LCD in public spaces.

Marc Ingla, vice president marketing and media, commented about these exciting new projects: "From now on, FC Barcelona is guaranteed a permanent presence in China. Being able to offer Barça TV to the Chinese people and fans, as well as a Barça magazine and a Chinese language website, produced by some of the leading companies in these sectors, is a major achievement for the club".
