Barca´s Cameroon international striker Samuel Eto'o has returned from his summer holidays prolongued with Barca´s permission by 1 week and is ready to challenge for glory.

In an exclusive interview with Barca´s official website, La Liga´s topscorer and "Pichichi" Eto'o (26 goals) looked very positive into the upcoming season. He believes that Barca can win all 6 trophies the team is challenging for.

FCB: How were your holidays?

"Good, really good. Not having to get up early and not play football for more than sixty days, at least without any pressure, has been really good".

FCB: I imagine you're keen to get started?

"Of course! When you like what you do, you miss it. And in addition, in my case, I didn't play in the World Cup, but I went to Germany to see how the others did. It made me sad not to play in the World Cup. But as for your question, yes I was keen to get started".

FCB: Apart from the young players from the Academy who have been training with the squad over the last few days, the only new face is Gudjohnsen. Have you been able to talk to him?

"I've said hello. We all know him as a footballer. I'm here for whatever he needs. We all have to help him settle in as soon as possible and I'm sure he'll help us".

Follow up:

FCB: The Club has also signed Zambrotta and Thuram. What do you think about that?

"We have a great squad but it's also true that the objectives for this season are even more complicate because Barca will be the team to beat. We mustn't be bigheaded. We have to have respect".

FCB: What about Thuram?

"I've known him for two years. He'll do well for us because he's like Puyol very focussed, very committed - and I'm sure he'll do well for the team".

FCB: So these two signings have boosted the squad?

"Barca has always had a good team but these two signings improve the squad and that's always good for the team".

FCB: Can the team do better than last season?

"Why not? We'll be involved in six competitions and we have to aspire to winning all of them".

FCB: Is that possible?

"Everything's possible in life. You have to believe and have humility and respect your opponents. I believe Barca won't do well if we see ourselves as the kings. But if we keep on respecting the opponents and play all our matches with seriousness, we can dream about winning the lot".

FCB: What are your personal goals?

"I will try and improve on last year but that's linked to the team's performance. Whenever the team does well. It brings out the best in the others. Firstly, you have to support your team-mates 100% and then we'll see what happens".

FCB: Can the team isolate itself from what's going on at Board level?

"Staying unaffected is impossible. It's a pity because after having brought back enthusiasm to the fans, having a good team both on and off the pitch, it's a shame things that can destabilise happen. I hope it's sorted out quickly and we get back to being a family".
