FC Barcelona star Lionel Messi never thought of leaving Barca for one second.


When Messi´s name was used by candidates during the presidential election campaign young Messi and his father were quick and strongly denying any contact but admited they have been contacted by Real Madrid intermediars.
Barca´s youngster is still upset over his name being used by the Real candidates and the way they used him for their individual aims. The Argentine international was especially upset that the Merengues did not care that their claims brought his commitment and integrity towards Barcelona into question.

Messi told Barcelona based sport newspaper SPORT:

Did it bother me that my name was used to promote Real Madrid presidential candidates? Yes, very much, but I always slept well. It bothers me that claims can be made without any basis. But Barcelona fans can be very calm. I love the club and I never thought about leaving. In no club can I feel more loved and wanted than in Barcelona.
