New Sunderland manager Niall Quinn is hoping to sign two Barca players.


Sunderland have taken 20-year-old striker Oriel Riera from FC Barcelona on trial, while 24-year-old Barca B captain Caldentey impressed the Sunderland manager while on trial last week. Barca´s Caldentey has never featured for Barca´s first team and at 24 years of age had been suggested to look for other opportunities.


Also Scotish Team Heart of Midlothian have offered Caldentey a trial.


Sunderland's Manager, Niall Quinn, admitted that he is hoping to hear back from Barca about his inquiries for the players after the weekend.
