After 5 month of injury, it looks like Barca youngster Leo Messi is back to his best.
On Saturday night, his outstanding performance earned young Messi the man-of-the-match award in the 4-1 victory over New York Red Bulls. Messi scored 1 excellent goal and had 2 assists. Messi deserved the most valuable player Award, a view which FC Barcelona boss Rijkaard shared. He complimented Messi:
It was the correct choice. He was heavily involved and created several chances. I am pleased for him because he almost back to his best.
