French international and Barca´s new signing Lilian Thuram revealed that he has not decided yet whether he will play for France in the future.

The 34-year-old defender Thuram already retired from international football after Euro 2004 but was persuaded by France national coach Raymond Domenech to help France to qualify for the World Cup 2006 in Germany.
After a great performance in France´s world cup campaign in Germany during the summer, that saw France progressing to the final, Barca´s new signing proved, despite his age that veteran Thuram still has all the attributes to perform and deliver on the highest level.

Thuram is aware that France national coach Domenech is a strong admirer of the former Juventus defender and would like him to extend his stay in the national team. But Barca´s Thuram is more realistic and admitted that he is undecided about his France career. He revealed that is could be wiser to concentrate his efforts on his new club Barcelona, trying to win the Champions League again:

It's not only me who must decide and I think the coach will respect my decision if it's negative. Even, if before the World Cup Domenech called me up without asking me, it would be logical to discuss it this time. Let's not be stupid. I will reflect, reflect a lot. The problem is to see if I can play at the right level. Maybe I did at the World Cup but you can't carry on forever.
