The fans knew that this was my first game and a player always needs a little support, so the applause was great.

Jorquera:

It was a surprise for me to be named in the starting team. The coach told me at the pre-match hotel and I was delighted. Goalkeepers enjoy winning even more if they do not concede any goals. This has been a strong performance and I am pleased. I am happy with my own display as well as that of the rest of the team. We are pleased that the supporters were able to enjoy themselves.

Belletti:

It is not possible to talk about individuals. The whole team played well. Despite winning 3-0, the truth is we had to work very hard. All trophies are important. I am sure that people have enjoyed watching the game tonight.

Motta:

The first trophy is always important. The team was very motivated beforehand and those players that started the game played very well and it is great to be able to be a part of the side. This Barça team is capable of winning everything.

Messi:

I have not felt any problems, we have worked to prevent any more injuries. In the first half the game was tight. The first goal came early on and we were able to play like we did last year. We played very well and have now won the trophy and I hope that it is not the last one of the season."

It was very important to start by winning this trophy. The team played very well. The motivation is always the same before we go out to play. We treated Espanyol with the utmost respect.
