All Barca players were delighted after the fanstastic 4-0 victory against German Champions and Cup winners Bayern Munich in the Joan Gamper contest on Tuesday. Barcelona produced another display of entertaining football. FC Bayern Munich was a fair loser and had to admit that Barca was just too good on this night.

Felix Magath, Bayern München coach:

After the 0:1 we were completely disorientated and inthe last 15 minutes before half time we were more or less out of order. The game was meant to be a good test to know where we stand on international level. Now we know that at the moment we are miles behind Barcelona. today, we were not able to keep up with an excellent Barca team.

Frank Rijkaard, FC Barcelona coach:

Bayern began the game very well and were well organised. In the first 15 minutes they had some chances, but then Barça began a period of extraordinary play with several players performing at a very high level.

Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, president of Bayern Munich:

The performance of Barcelona, especiallys in the first half, was the best I have ever seen. I must admit, I did not suffer, I enjoyed the game. I can only congratulate Barcelona to the team they have.

Hasan Salihamidzic, player of Bayern Munich:

Javier Saviola:

I am going happy after the game, but I am also happy for the supporters who have always treated me very well. I am only thinking about training for when the coach needs me. My relationship with Frank Rijkaard is good, we talk openly about things.

It was a positive debut because I have played well in my first home game and I am happy. When I went on I felt very emotional, it was incredible because I felt immeditately that I had the support of the fans. I am still not 100% fit, but I am growing stronger all the time. We hope to put on a good show on Friday against Sevilla. The result is important because we were playing a great team.

The team is playing well, we have done well in front of goal and are at a good level. We are playing with a good rhythm now. It is still early so there can be no euphoria. The team has a lot of quality with great players. Today, we showed that we can field two competitive teams. That is very important in what will prove to be a long season. The people who came to the ground had a good time and that is important. We will have to keep our feet on the ground so that we do not panic when a bad result happens.

Albert Jorquera:
