Former Juventus Player and one of FC Barcelona´s new summer signings, French international Lilian Thuram, admitted that Barca is the strongest team he had ever played for. 34-year old experienced centre-back Thuram moved from scandal ridden former Italian Champions and Champions League winner Juventus to current European Cup holder FC Barcelona during this summer and has been very impressed with what he experienced so far. He only has words of praise for his new teammates, the Club and Spanish Football in general. Thuram told Spanish news agency EFE:

Barca is a great club and I am glad I have been given another opportunity to achieve some important results, even if I am already 34. Spanish football is very technical and it is very different to Italian football, where everything depends on your physical condition. I enjoy the fact that training sessions all take place in a very relaxed atmosphere. I am impressed by my teammates and I don’t think I have ever played in such a strong side. I was surprised by the high quality of the team and I trust I can still learn a lot.

Thuram will travel with his new Club to Monaco today. FC Barcelona will play FC Sevilla in the European Super Cup on Friday night. Thuram could win his second important trophy after lifting the Spanish Super Cup last Sunday within a week, excluding the prestigious Joan Gamper Trophy on Tuesday.
