FC Barcelona continues at the top of the world ranking for football clubs... and Real Madrid is not even in the top 20.


FC Barcelona is heading the world-wide ranking for football clubs released by the Internationa Federation for History and Statistics in wiesbaden, Germany. In the last update of the ranking, that has been published today, Barca is accompanyed at the top by the European UEFA Cup and UEFA Super Cup Winner FC Sevilla (2nd) and Internacional Porto Alegre
(3rd) who won just recently the Copa Liberatores, the South America equivalent of the European Champions League.

The world-wide ranking of the IFFHS considers the results of last the twelve months in international competitions, domestic leagues and cups. In addition, the ranking also considers the strength of domestic leagues to claculate the final result.
