FC Barcelona´s technical secretary Txiki Begiristain, responsible for Barca´s transfers, denied several media reports that Barcelona have an agreement in place to sign FC Porto´s wonderboy Anderson. Football website Goal.com quoted Txiki Begiristain:
Nothing has been done and for now nothing will be done. We will consider him at a later moment. We have been watching him, but that's all. We will make a decision later and if we have the approval of Porto. 
Barcelona based sports newspapers "EL MUNDO DEPORTIVO" and "SPORT" as well as several Portuguese media services reported that Barca have already an agreement with the player and his agent and is wanting to make an offer to the club FC Porto.
Barca is facing tough competition from Champions League opponent Chelsea.
