Barcelona's director of football Txiki Begiristain met Independiente´s Vice President Atilio Di Pace to discuss the transfer of Argentinian goalkeeper Oscar Ustari.
The Argentinian outfit expects Ustari to remain at the club until summer 2007 and are asking for € 10 mill. for the talented shotstopper. Independiente Vice-President Di Pace explained the situation to the media:
Everything has a price, like Aguero had his price when Atletico Madrid bought him. There hasn't been any more contact from Barcelona for Ustari, besides a few days ago when we had an informal meeting with Txiki Beguiristain. We are asking for $12 million (€ 10 mill.) for Ustari. If we are paid that amount of money the player will be transferred. Barcelona are in no hurry to have the player in their squad though, so our idea is to keep the player with us until June 2007.
