Reports in Spain suggested that FC Barcelona left full back Sylvinho is ready to sign a new 1-year contract extention that would keep the Brazilian star for another year to 2008 at Camp Nou. Sylvinho's current deal is due to expire at the end of the season in 2007.
Negotiations are in an advanced stage. The new deal will mean he will not have to play in 60 percent of Barca's fixtures to secure a bonus. Sylvinho is expected to sign the new agreement in the near future.
