The Spanish Committee of Appeal have upheld the referees decision of two yellow card bookings and to sending off Ronaldo in the match against Getafe. Ronaldo picked up a second yellow card for protesting against the ref´s decision to book teammate Ruud van Nistelrooy.
Ronaldo admitted to have called the referee a "phenomen" and simply wondered why the official would sent him off for this.

However, the Spanish Committe of Appeal upheld the booking, which means Ronaldo will miss Sunday's "El Clasico" at the Bernabeu.

Real Madrid decided to go further in this matter and appeal to the Committee of Sport Discipline (CSD), who are the final authority. This time, though, they will appeal against the first yellow card shown to Ronaldo. Real´s legal departement believe that they have a better chance.

A final decision is expected this evening.
