FC Barcelona coach Frank Rijkaard was pleased with the teams efforts, attitude and victory over Segunda B team Badalona:
It was a fair result, but in the second half we did do a bit more. We used the spaces better and looked for more depth in our game. I am really pleased for Gudjohnsen. He is very important. He started the game as an attacking midfielder, but after 20 minutes I moved him to centre forward to take advantage of his height and let Saviola have a bit more freedom of movement. It was not a great match, especially in the first half, but I was very happy with my players' attitude.
