FC Barcelona players have launched a scathing attack on Chelsea, especially manager Jose Mourinho. Mourinho, who consistently lashes out, before, during and after matches against his former employer FC Barcelona can still not come to term with his former club.


Barca´s Brazilian midfield star Edmilson could not hide his anger about Mourinho´s antics and consitent attacks:

The worst thing about playing Chelsea is to have to listen to the stupidity of Mourinho. He is a little man who has suddenly been created into the owner of the world in his own head. In life it is necessary to be humble and he shows no humility at all. And when you lose against him it is even worse because you have to hear it all over again. He should spend more time concentrating on his work and just shut his mouth up. It was a draw on Tuesday but it feels worse than a defeat. We are still very upset but at least we have the chance to go through. We have to keep our heads up and keep looking forward. We played well on the pitch and fought very strongly, without falling into their traps.

Meanwhile, Barcelona midfielder Thiago Motta critizised Chelsea's 'rough' style during Tuesday´s UEFA Champions League match which ended in a draw.
Motta believed Barca should have taken all 3 points and that his team had been the victims of some poor refereeing from Italian Stefano Farina:

We tried to play, but they played rough all match. Chelsea came to Spain, not to play football, because they know that it's not easy to play at Camp Nou. The referee let them do what they wanted. It's difficult for us to accept this result as we worked hard to get a positive result. Now we have to forget this match and move on. We have to win the next two games to make sure we have no problem of getting into the next round.

Also Barca´s youngster Lionel Messi feels that Chelsea were very lucky to claim a last minute draw against the European Cup holders and was upset about being consistently fouled by the Chelsea defender:

I am unhappy with the result because it is not just. Barcelona were the better team but these things happen in football. I received many kicks but that was not a surprise to me. In every match against Chelsea I am the main target for their players.
Everything is still possible for us. Qualification is in our hands and I am totally convinced that we will win in Sofia and against Bremen.

Barca Captain Carles Puyol has accused Chelsea striker Didier Drogba of diving to try and get Barcelona players booked:

They were the first ones trying to provoke things and not us. Drogba was diving on to the ground all the time asking for us to be booked.
